The Port City is gearing up for one of its most enduring traditions as the 2026 Labor Day Parade prepares to roll through the streets of Mobile on Monday, September 7.
The parade, organized by the Southwest Alabama Labor Council, marks its 80th year of celebrating the contributions of workers across Mobile and the broader Southwest Alabama region. What began decades ago as a tribute to the labor movement has grown into one of the city’s most beloved annual events.

This year’s parade will feature a lively mix of entertainment and community spirit. Attendees can look forward to performances by the Blount High School and Murphy High School marching bands, along with a colorful array of trolleys, vehicles, walking groups and floats making their way through downtown Mobile.

The parade is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m., departing from South Lawrence Street and following a route through the heart of downtown Mobile. Spectators are encouraged to arrive early to secure prime viewing spots along the parade route.
