A murder suspect has been recaptured after escaping from the Fountain Correctional Facility in Atmore, according to the Alabama Department of Corrections.
The department said 48-year-old Jamie Vaughn escaped at 8 a.m. Wednesday and was found about an hour later in Brewton.
The escape prompted a search by law enforcement in Escambia County before Vaughn was taken back into custody.
