Authorities in Prichard have identified the man shot and killed Saturday night at a gas station near Meaher Avenue as 22-year-old Demetrius Hunter.
According to a City of Prichard spokesperson, Hunter was shot once in the torso around 8 p.m. Saturday at the Brother Quick Shop gas station. He died from his injuries.
Prichard Police led the response, with investigators from the Mobile Police Department and the Mobile County Sheriff’s Office also called in to assist.
No suspects were in custody as of Sunday afternoon, and police have not announced any arrests in the case. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Prichard Police Major Crime Division.
