MOBILE, Ala. — South Alabama soccer’s Charde Hannah was named the Sun Belt Conference Offensive Player of the Week on Tuesday, the third time she has received the award this season.
Hannah previously earned the honor on Sept. 16 and Sept. 23.
Late Goals Against Georgia State
Hannah helped the Jaguars to a pair of shutout wins over Georgia Southern and Georgia State, finishing the week with two goals and seven shots on goal.
Both goals came against Georgia State. With the match scoreless, Hannah scored in the 85th minute to give South Alabama the lead, then added a second goal in the 90th minute. The win set a new South Alabama record for consecutive matches without a loss.
Conference Leader
Hannah leads the Sun Belt in points per game (2.38) and goals per game (1.0), and she is tied for sixth in the league in assists.
It marks the seventh time a South Alabama player has received a Sun Belt Player of the Week award.
