South Alabama (29-3, 7-0 Sun Belt) brings a 13-game winning streak and its highest national ranking ever into a 6 p.m. game at No. 4 Alabama.

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — South Alabama softball puts the highest national ranking in program history and a 13-game winning streak on the line tonight when the No. 11 Jaguars visit No. 4 Alabama at 6 p.m.

The Jaguars climbed to No. 11 this week in both the USA Today/National Fastpitch Coaches Association Top 25 and the ESPN.com/USA Softball Top 25.

Jaguars Bring Strong Resume

South Alabama is 29-3 overall and 7-0 in Sun Belt Conference play, and the two-time defending Sun Belt champions have won 17 straight games on the road. The Jaguars enter the game with the best team earned run average in the nation.

South Alabama is 2-0 against Southeastern Conference opponents this season, with wins over then-No. 17 Georgia and then-No. 21 LSU.

Crimson Tide Lead Series

Alabama is 31-5 overall and 11-1 in the SEC. The Crimson Tide lead the all-time series 8-0 and won last season’s meeting 4-0, a result that ended a 12-game South Alabama winning streak.

Audio of the game is available through Jaguar All-Access.
