Trey Clark, Alex Page Named to CoSIDA Academic All-District First Team

South Alabama football players Trey Clark and Alex Page were named to the Capital One Academic All-District 4 first team, the first time the program has placed multiple players on the team.

MOBILE, Ala. — South Alabama football players Trey Clark and Alex Page were named Thursday to the Capital One Academic All-District 4 first team, selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA). It is the first time the Jaguars have placed more than one player on the team.

Both players advance to the ballot for the Capital One Academic All-America Team. First-, second- and third-team All-America selections are scheduled to be announced Thursday, Dec. 6.

Clark Repeats

Clark, a senior from Prattville, Ala., earned Academic All-District recognition for the second consecutive year. He is the only player in school history to start all 36 games the program has played, and he has been on the field for every offensive snap South Alabama has taken this season.

In addition to last year’s All-District honor, Clark was named to the FCS Athletic Directors Association Academic All-Star Team.

Page Among Sun Belt Sack Leaders

Page, a junior who is also from Prattville, ranks second in the Sun Belt Conference in sacks and is among the league’s top 10 in tackles for loss.

Eligibility Requirements

To be eligible for Academic All-District honors, players must have reached sophomore standing both academically and athletically, be a starter or key reserve, and carry a cumulative grade-point average of at least 3.30.
