Thomasville City Schools Cancel Classes After Water Main Break on Campus
Thomasville City Schools canceled classes Tuesday after a water main break on the middle and high school campus forced water service to be shut off.
THOMASVILLE, Ala. — Thomasville City Schools canceled classes Tuesday after a water main ruptured on the campus shared by Thomasville Middle School and Thomasville High School.
Mayor Sheldon Day said the cancellations were necessary because water service to the schools had to be shut off for several hours while crews repaired the line.
Thomasville City Schools is a separate district from the Clarke County school system. It operates the city’s public schools in northern Clarke County.
