On Saturday, April 30 at 11 p.m., 92ZEW presents Wilco: Ashes of American Flags, the award-winning tour documentary shot during the band’s 2008 swing through five quintessentially American venues — including the Mobile Civic Center. The screening includes a giveaway of six posters and three pairs of tickets to Wilco’s upcoming Saenger Theatre show.

Also on the calendar is Dylan Dog, the paranormal-detective comic adaptation starring Brandon Routh, alongside other first-run indies; showtimes and trailers are posted on the theater’s site.

‘Minched!’ Fundraiser May 5

The bigger event comes Thursday, May 5 at 7 p.m., when Friends of the Crescent Theater stages its second annual fundraiser with the world premiere of Minched!, an original radio play written by Danielle Juzan. Well-known local performers and TV celebrities take part, with live jazz from Chip Herrington’s quartet between episodes. The performance will be recorded for later broadcast on Catt’s Radio Avalon on 92-ZEW.

Tickets are $50 and include a Cinco de Mayo reception afterward at Rollin’s Deli; all proceeds benefit the Crescent Theater Film Society. Reservations are available through Carol Hunter at 251-434-8498.
