An evening of blackjack, craps and roulette is on the table for a good cause, as Children’s of Alabama brings its “All In For Heart” fundraiser back to the Gulf Coast community in February 2019.
The casino-themed event deals every guest $1,000 in “fun money” to play at the gaming tables, alongside food, complimentary beer and wine, live music and prize giveaways. All of it raises money for the Birmingham hospital’s pediatric heart program — care that reaches families right here in South Alabama, including young Gulf Coast heart patients like Brantley, whose story anchors this year’s campaign.
Children’s of Alabama serves as the major pediatric referral center for the region, meaning families from Mobile, Baldwin County and across the southern tier of the state routinely make the trip to Birmingham for cardiac surgery and specialized treatment. Events like All In For Heart help fund that care closer to what families can reach.
Organizers describe the night as equal parts fundraiser and celebration, giving supporters a chance to try their luck at the tables while directly supporting patients fighting congenital and acquired heart conditions.
