A student at Alma Bryant High School in Irvington was critically injured in a vehicle crash over the weekend, prompting an outpouring of support from the school community.
According to a post shared on the school’s Facebook page, Kaylee Carmichael was involved in an accident on Saturday night. The post included her photo and asked the community for prayers during a difficult time.
“Please pray for Kaylee Carmichael, she was in an accident last night. She is in critical condition at USA hospital. She needs your prayers,” the school’s Facebook post read.
Carmichael was transported to the University of South Alabama Medical Center, where she was listed in critical condition following the crash.
The family has since set up a GoFundMe campaign to help cover medical expenses as Carmichael continues to receive treatment. The school community has rallied around the family, sharing messages of support and encouragement on social media.
Alma Bryant High School is located in Irvington, an unincorporated community in southern Mobile County. The school serves students from the surrounding area, including parts of Grand Bay and other communities along the Gulf Coast.
