A Blount High School senior is heading to college with a full ride. Jermiya Robinson has been awarded a $180,000 scholarship from the Marine Corps, Mobile County Public Schools announced.
The scholarship covers college tuition and fees, books, and other living expenses — a package the district valued at $180,000 over the course of Robinson’s college career.
The district celebrated the news on its Facebook page: “Congratulations to Jermiya Robinson, a Blount High School senior, who was honored with a $180,000 Marine Corps scholarship.”
