MOBILE, Ala. — South Alabama freshman Chloe Rathburn was named the Sun Belt Conference Softball Player of the Week on Monday after helping the Jaguars to a three-game sweep of Western Kentucky.
Rathburn’s selection marks the sixth time a South Alabama player has earned the conference’s weekly honor this season, in 11 voting periods.
Productive Week at the Plate
Rathburn opened the week by driving in South Alabama’s only run against LSU on Wednesday in Baton Rouge, La.
Against Western Kentucky, she went 5-for-11, a .455 average, with five RBI and three runs scored.
