Coastal Alabama Community College Honors Nursing Seniors With Luau Celebration

Coastal Alabama Community College recently celebrated its senior nursing students on the Thomasville campus with a luau-themed party, honoring the group as they prepare for graduation.

The event recognized the students’ accomplishments throughout the nursing program and marked the culmination of their coursework just weeks before formal graduation ceremonies.

About the Program

The Thomasville campus, formerly part of Alabama Southern Community College, became part of Coastal Alabama Community College when the college was created in 2017 by merging Alabama Southern with Faulkner State and Jefferson Davis community colleges.

Graduates of nursing programs must pass the national NCLEX licensing examination before the Alabama Board of Nursing will license them to practice as registered nurses or licensed practical nurses.
