Downtown Mobile turns into one long dinner table on November 6, when Dining In the Street brings al fresco service to the sidewalks from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., with proceeds benefiting Prichard Preparatory School, a pre-K through fifth-grade elementary school serving the area.
The format lets diners sample a string of independent restaurants in a single evening, with tickets in three tiers. The $75 top tier includes The Bull, Union, The Noble South and Cafe 615. A $40 middle tier features T.P. Crockmier’s and the OK Bicycle Shop, while the $25 tier covers LoDa Bier Garten, Moe’s BBQ, Heroes and Cabo Coastal Cantina.
No advance purchase is required — walk-ins are welcome. Area residents have also signed on as sponsors, earning perks like names printed on event menus and recognition on the school’s website and annual report.
Organizers bill the evening as a way to support local restaurants and education at once: every ticket directly benefits the school while keeping downtown’s dining district busy on a Thursday night.
