A year-long investigation by the Alabama State Bureau of Investigation has led to the arrest of a 27-year-old Millry man on multiple child sex charges.
Dalton Tate was indicted by a grand jury on 11 counts, including four counts of sodomy, six counts of sexual abuse of a child and one count of enticing a child, according to authorities. He was released on $100,000 bond.
Law enforcement sources said Tate was affiliated with nearly a dozen churches. The alleged victim was a young boy at the time of the abuse and is now an adult.
The Alabama Attorney General’s office will prosecute the case. Investigators believe there may be additional victims and are asking anyone with information to contact the State Bureau of Investigation at 334-637-0131.
