BAY MINETTE, Ala. — A man was arrested during a traffic stop this week on an outstanding warrant for first-degree sodomy, according to the Bay Minette Police Department.
Timothy Dewayne Thomas Jr. was taken into custody Monday after Bay Minette officers stopped him on the warrant. The arrest followed a notification in early October 2019 from the Alabama Department of Human Resources regarding a minor child who had been assaulted.
Investigators determined through their work that Thomas was the suspect and developed probable cause to seek a warrant for first-degree sodomy, police said.
