Police with the George County School District responded to L-T Intermediate School after receiving a tip about a possible weapon on campus.
A staff member at the school contacted the district’s chief of police about the concern. When officers arrived, they reported finding a non-functioning, non-lethal airsoft gun.
Officials said the situation was resolved without injury, and the district’s police handled the response as a precaution.
