The Mobile Police Department is asking for the public’s help tracking down a suspect who opened fire on a Mobile street late Monday night, striking a house with people inside and an unoccupied vehicle parked nearby.
Officers responded to a call of shots fired in the 6400 block of Barker Drive South at about 10:40 p.m. Monday. When they arrived, the suspect was no longer in the area, according to the department.
Investigators determined that a house with people inside had been struck by gunfire, along with an unoccupied vehicle. Police said no one was hurt in the incident.
The investigation remained active as of Tuesday morning, and no arrests had been announced. Police have not released a description of the suspect or said whether they believe the home was targeted.
