MOBILE, Ala. — The fourth annual Sisters for Life Wellness Expo brought residents together at the Mobile Convention Center on Saturday for a day centered on health, connection and community.
Organizers said the event featured sessions on mental health along with workshops geared toward teens, reflecting an emphasis on wellness across every stage of life.
A conversation about reinvention
Among the day’s highlights was a panel discussion hosted by Lenise Ligon and Danielle Dials, which focused on embracing every phase of career, life and reinvention — a theme that resonated with attendees navigating change in their own lives.
‘The community getting together’
For many participants, the value of the expo was as much about connection as content. Vendor Kaitlyn McIntosh said the sense of community was her favorite part of the day.
“The community getting together and actually networking, getting to know each other, and just finding out different things that the community offers,” McIntosh said.
Presented by area health organizations
The expo was presented by AIDS Alabama South and hosted by NSpire U, The Women R Organization and Ambetter Health. Together, the organizations turned the Convention Center into a hub for wellness resources, networking and conversation — continuing a tradition that has grown over the past four years into a fixture on Mobile’s community calendar.
