Robertsdale High School Mourned Teen’s Death in 2007

James Bullard, October 13, 2007

Historical community report, published from archived WKRG coverage.

Robertsdale High School mourned the death of a teenage student and football player in 2007, according to an archived WKRG report.

The Baldwin County coroner said autopsy results attributed the death to a blood clot that formed after a leg injury and later reached the teen’s lungs. Family members said the student had previously been treated after a spider bite, but the coroner said the bite was not the cause of death.

The school offered grief counseling and planned to retire the student’s No. 44 football jersey. This historical article is not medical advice; anyone with a health concern should seek guidance from a qualified clinician or emergency services as appropriate.
